Josh Evans was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. At a young age he had a passion for exercise playing basketball and football for Horizon Middle School, Varsity basketball and football for Century High School and football for the University of Mary here in Bismarck. He graduated from the University of Mary in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.
In September 2009 Josh became the owner and manager of Optimum Fitness. He is also the head personal trainer here at Optimum. He knows how important diet is to achieving one's health and fitness goals, so he received a sports nutrition certification from the International Fitness Association. With his knowledge of how nutrition and nutritional supplements can benefit each and every person, he opened Nutri-Sport Nutrition Superstore. Josh specializes in Nutrition Counseling and Sports Conditioning. He feels that being able to provide all the aspects of health nutrition and wellness will benefit any individual with their specific goals and needs. Josh uses his sports nutrition expertise not only for his personal training clients, but for one of his hobbies, bodybuilding. In 2007 he won first place in the teen division in the NPC Upper Midwest Bodybuilding Championships. In 2007 he also placed 3rd in the teen division at the NPC Gopher State Classic in Minnesota. In 2011 he placed second in the Super Heavyweight division at the NPC Upper Midwest Bodybuilding Championships.
Josh also specializes in sports specific training. He has worked with two different MMA fighters on their strength training, conditioning program, and dieting to help them both to undefeated records.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys watching football, golfing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
